Yesterday we closed our Spruce Creek Fly-In, Florida home for season and flew home to Milwaukee. In the three and one-half hour flight we initiated our Spidertracks system and used the satellite phone as well. Canon and Go-Pro cameras are set up.  All new toys!

Tom keeps his piloting skills sharpened with his experience and with two flight training programs each year.

My private pilot license and medical are current. I feel prepared and continue to be Tom’s co-pilot and able to take over, just in case!

I am not certified to fly the TBM as pilot in command (PIC), however last Thursday I successfully completed seven TBM landings (with an instructor). Good to go!

May 12, 2015 marks the departure date of our journey around the world in our TBM . We leave from Quebec City, Canada and travel to some of the most remarkable destinations on the planet! We will fly approximately 25,965 nautical miles and visit 29 countries in 73 days!

The group we are traveling with includes 14 people in five aircraft, guided by Air Journey.   Some key destinations of our adventure include: Reykjavak, Iceland; Paris, France; Ibiza, Spain; Santorini, Greece; Istanbul, Kapadoyka and Bodrum Turkey;  Luxor, Egypt; Dubai, UAE; Agra, India; Chiang Mai, Thailand; Bali, Indonesia; Singapore; Cambodia; Laos;  Hanoi, Vietnam; Hong Kong; Taipei; Nagoya & Kyoto, Japan; Anadyr, Russia and returning to the USA in Anchorage, Alaska.
